Park Hours

Important Notice Regarding Park Hours

As of October 1, 2008, Broward County regional parks, nature centers, and natural areas are closed on Tuesdays* due to Fiscal Year 2009 budget reductions.  However, the following four County parks will continue to be open daily:**

• Central Broward Regional Park, 3700 N.W. 11^th Place, Lauderhill; 954-321-1170
• Markham Park, 16001 W. State Rd. 84, Sunrise; 954-389-2000
• Topeekeegee Yugnee (T. Y.) Park, 3300 N. Park Rd., Hollywood; 954-985-1980
• Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Rd., Coconut Creek; 954-968-3880

All campgrounds will remain open daily to registered campers, with the exception of Quiet Waters rent-a-tent campground which will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.*.  Neighborhood parks will continue daily operations.  Private facilities – AllGolf, Butterfly World, and Ski Rixen – will continue their normal operating schedule.  Polling sites will be open for voting purposes only on election days.

The Broward County Parks and Recreation Division thanks you for your patronage and looks forward to continuing to meet your recreational needs.

**All Broward County parks are closed on Veterans Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Holidays at Broward Parks

Veteran's Day:  All Broward County regional parks and nature centers will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2008; however, All Golf (C.B. Smith Park) and Butterfly World (Tradewinds Park) will remain open. Ski Rixen (Quiet Waters Park) is closed on Tuesdays.

Thanksgiving Day: All Broward County regional parks and nature centers will be open on Thursday, November 27, 2008, although Butterfly World (Tradewinds Park) will be closed.

Day after Thanksgiving: All Broward County regional parks and nature centers will be closed on Friday, November 28, 2008; however, All Golf (C.B. Smith Park), Butterfly World (Tradewinds Park), and Ski Rixen (Quiet Waters Park) will remain open.

Christmas Day: All Broward County regional parks and nature centers will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2008, although All Golf (C.B. Smith Park)will remain open.  Ski Rixen (Quiet Waters) and Butterfly World (Tradewinds) will be closed.

Periodic field maintenance may require temporary closings of athletic fields throughout the year; public prenotification of closing is given. (i.e., soccer/football - December, April, and August; softball - December and May; baseball - December, January, and July)
