Low-Cost Vaccination Clinics for 2009

Clinics help keep dogs and cats vaccinated at a low costBroward County Animal Care and Regulation has scheduled six Rabies Clinics for 2009. All Clinics are held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $15 (cash only). To qualify to attend the rabies clinics, a pet owner must prove they are a Broward County resident by producing a valid Florida driver's license or a current utility bill.

 

In addition, the pet owner must bring proof that they meet low-income guidelines based on income and family size by producing a current pay check stub, or prove that they are receiving: Public assistance or food stamps, Worker's compensation or unemployment, Social Security or Disability. No appointment is necessary and customers are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All dogs must be on leashes and all cats must be in carriers. Here is a list of dates and locations:

  • January 24  Sunset Lakes Community Center, 3601 SW 186th Ave., Miramar
  • March 14  Roosevelt Gardens Park, 2841 NW 11 St., Fort Lauderdale
  • May 2  David Park Community Center, 108 N 33rd Court, Hollywood
  • July 11   Catherine Young Branch Library, 5810 Park Drive, Margate
  • September 12   Collins Community Center, 3900 NE 3rd Ave, Oakland Park
  • November 7   Mary Saunders Park, 4750 SW 21st Street, West Park
