Renaissance Festival
Weekends from February 13 through March 14
And Presidents Day, February 15
The Renaissance Festival is a great place to browse through our enchanted crafts village, where more than 100 merchants and artisans demonstrate and sell their wares.
Behold glass blowing, hammered pewter, wooden toys, unique pottery, clothing, and a wealth of other riches. Cheer battling knights in full armor as they mount their steeds, lower their visors, aim their lances, and charge at full tilt, thrice daily. Feast on hearty food fit for a king! Experience our succulent turkey legs, Scotch eggs, love knots (pretzels), and the Queen's buns hot out of our bakery ovens. Visit the pub and toast to the royal court with a tankard of ale or cider. Play games of chance and games of skill that challenge both young and old alike: archery—the test of strength, Jacob's Ladder, and more. Applaud hundreds of performers—sword fighters, minstrels, magicians, mud-beggars, and more—not only on our 12 stages but literally all around you, for all the world's a stage. Experience the thrill of our human-powered rides like the Carousello, the Wild Boar, the Flying Swan, the Crow's Nest, and the Quintain. Get lost in the Dragon's Maze, and enjoy our new Kids' Kingdom.

A little history...Using funds from the 1978 bond issue, Broward County acquired this 431.4-acre property in the early '80s from Houdaille Inc., a major dredge-and-fill contractor that used the site essentially as a "borrow pit." The proposed name of Lakeview Park was abandoned in favor of Quiet Waters by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The park officially opened to the public in March 1983. A substantial upgrade was developed and in 1984, Splash Adventure, an interactive children's water playground, was opened in the southeast corner of the park.
