Water playgrounds are fun ways to cool off

Three Water Playgrounds Open Weekends starting March 13, 2010

South Florida's subtropical climate makes it ideal for water-based activities most of the year.  The Broward County Park and Recreation Division's swimming season is March through October. 

Swim CentralWater safety is a top priority in South Florida, where there are thousands of swimming pools, beaches, canals, and other waterways. Broward County and a number of public and private organizations are working together through SWIM Central to provide instructional swim lessons to young children and teach them how to be safe in the water.
